Halloween

October 31st

This year is my first Halloween and I dressed up as a ladybug.  It was really cold so I just dressed up and helped mom and dad hand out candy.

Brayden dressed up as a cow and I was tired of sitting on the ground.

First Trip To The Pumpkin Patch

October

My mom and dad took me to my first pumpkin patch and Aunt Kelly brought Brayden too. We didn't go to actually pick out and get a pumpkin because pawpaw already made one for me and Brayden. We went so that everybody could take pictures. It wasn't so bad at first because mom or dad held me on their lap but I was over it as soon as they put me on the ground or in some wagon that they found there. I did not like getting dirty at all and I learned that the pumpkin patch is a place that you can really get dirty.  If you look close at the pictures you can see where I was not happy and held my hands up so they wouldn't get dirty.

Me and Brayden checking out the pumpkins.

The beginning of a not so fun time for me.

This ground is just disgusting!

Me and Brayden were hanging out with mawmaw and pawpaw.

Another area of thhe pumpkin patch that I didn't really like.

In case you didn't know the wagon is dirty too and I don't like it.

It's not too bad in mom and dad's lap.

Pawpaw took me and Brayden for a ride in the wagon.

Just chillin with my daddy.

We're practicng our walking.

My Bottle

I get so excited when I'm hungry and see my bottle.  After my dad fed me he was shaking up my bottle and my mom videoed my excitement.

Ice Cream, Ice Cream, I Scream For Ice Cream!!!!

My mom and dad have found that one of my favorite things is ice cream.  I think it is sooooo good.  At first it's really cold but then when I get that taste of it I just can't get enough of it.  My favorite right now is Chick-fil-a and I like it in my own cone. My mom got different videos of me eating ice cream.

Starting To Crawl

I am starting to crawl.  I have learned that if I see something that I want I can get to it.  I saw the phone and decided to go for it on the couch after my dad changed my diaper.  It's not a pretty crawl but I'm getting the hang of it.

I Love My Walker

One of the toys that I love is my walker.  I like to go through the living room in and Pawpaw says it looks like a ball in a pinball machine because I go from the chair to the coffee table to the couch and back again.  I also like to take my walker to the kitchen while my mom is cooking.  I grab her towel on the stove or open the drawers. I also like to chase Ella around the island in the kitchen.

Just Like My Mom

One thing that the family has always said about my mom is that she can sleep anywhere, which is right considering that I hear she fell asleep at a football game one time.  Well, I guess I take after her because I can fall asleep pretty much anywhere too. My mom and dad caught me asleep in a couple of different places and took my picture.

I'm 6 Months Old!!

October 1

I'm 6 months old now - half a year old!!!  I had to get shots this time and they were not fun at all.  But I did like the paper on the doctor bed.  It made a cool sound and I could rip it when I pulled on it.  When the doctor came in to talk to us, my mom took me off the bed and I couldn't reach the paper; oh it made me so mad.  Then the doctor gave me some tongue depressors to play with and they were fun for a little while. Then it happened, they came in to give me my shots and it hurt like I don't know what.  I screamed and cried and my mom heard the nurse tell another nurse outside that she had never had one cry that hard or loud.  My mom had to sing the Monday Night Football theme song to get my mind off the pain.  My mom also felt my bottom gums and felt two teeth coming in.  That explained to them why I was being a little cranky.  The doctor said that my top gums where swollen too.  Here are some things that I can do at 6 months old:

* I can roll over from my back to my stomach.
* I can give myself my bottle.
* I can sit up by myself.
* I love fruit and the best is when my mom and dad give me a frozen slice of apple to chew on.
* I weigh 17 lbs 9 oz and I'm in the 81st percentile.
* My head circumference is 17.13 inches and I'm in the 80th percentile.
* My length is 26.5 inches and I'm in the 78th percentile.
* I take a bath in the big girl tub now and love to splash around.

Monday Night Football

My dad gets so excited about football season so I have had to get used to football being on the tv.  It hasn't been so bad though. I like to watch the players run around and I like to talk to them on the tv too. I really like to hear my dad sing the Monday Night Football theme song, it just cracks me up every time.

My First Football Game

September 10

Today I went to my first football game at Wake Forest.  My mom and dad are big fans and we were playing NC State and we won.  Everyb\one wasn't really sure how I would do but mom and dad said I did a good job. We got there early to tailgate and hang out with our friends.  They took my exersaucer to play.  My dad's post master and his family tailgated with us and he gave me an  Oreo and I loved it.  I tried to pull his hand back when he took it away. We had a good day but I did fall asleep by the 4th quarter...I was cheering "Go Deacs" in my dreams.

Sleeping

I've always been a good sleeper but I have changed some of my sleeping positions.  When I started to learn to roll from my back to my stomach I liked to sleep on my side. Then I finally learned to roll from my back to my stomach and I like to sleep on my stomach now with my legs crossed.  Lucky for my mom and dad I don't wake up when I roll over on my stomach when I'm sleeping so we all just keep snoozing the night away.

I'm 5 Months Old!!!!

September 1

I'm 5 months old and doing lots of things.  I didn't have to get any shots this time which was great.  Here are some things that I'm doing at 5 months old now:

* I'm sitting in the highchair now when I eat.
* I'm drooling on everything and chewing on everything.
* I'm in size 2 diapers.
* I'm in all different sizes of clothes, my mom just says it depends on the brand of clothes.
* I'm almost rolling over from my back to my stomach.
* I'm so curious and want to check everything out.

Checking out my bath towel.

Excited that I'm about to eat.

Getting serious about eating.

Sitting Up

I am sitting up now!!!! I'm a little wobbly but for the most part I can sit up on my own.  My mom put me in the rocking sleeper and when she looked over at me I was pulling myself up to sit up and get a toy at my feet.  She was so excited and proud of me so she grabbed the camera and took some pictures and I didn't fall back down like I have before.

Messy Eater

Usually I am a nice clean eater but tonight I was a messy eater.  I didn't feel very good and I was tired but still hungry.  When my mom was feeding me I wanted to put my fingers in my mouth and then wipe my eyes.  I did it once and then a second time right away and my mom figured that it would not do any good to wipe my hands each time I put them in my mouth.  She just let me do my thing until I was done eating.  After that I had to take a bath but I didn't mind. My mom did think it looked funny with sweet potatoes in my eyebrows.

My First Baseball Game

My dad got tickets for us to go to the Dash Ballgame.  It wasn't too hot so mom and dad thought it would be ok to take me too.  They were so proud of me for doing such a good job while we were there.  I sat and watched all the different things going on and then I took a little nap.

A New Toy

Mom got out a new toy for me to play with - my Johnny Jump Up.  I like the toys that hang on it, especially the mirror.  I haven't really figured out how it works yet and that I can make it bounce up and down.  I like it when someone moves it for me to bounce up and down but when they stop I'm ready to get out.  My mom thought it was funny that I lean to one side and stand on one foot so she took a picture of me doing that.

Leaning to one side.

Spinning around on one foot.

Going For A Walk

Mom and I took a walk with Ella, Mawmaw, Pawpaw, Charlie, Abby, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Brandon, and Brayden!!! Dad was at work and Aunt Kelly, Uncle Brandon, and Brayden were visiting for the weekend.  It was really nice outside but near the end of our walk Ella got out and tired so she decided to just lay down in the road to catch her breathe.  Mom had the idea to put Ella in the bottom of my stroller and let her ride home. It was a funny site to see.

Sitting In The Highchair

When we go out to eat at a restaurant I get to get out of my car seat and sit in a highchair now.  I like a lot better because it's not as hot and I can see what's going on.  I'm doing good sitting up in it all by myself and eating in it too.  My mom and dad have attached toys to my seat cover to keep me entertained when I'm done eating and while they are eating.  I have also learned that I can just lay back and relax in the highchair.

Mom Back To Work

August 17

Today my mom had to go back to work so I got to go to Morgan's house and stay for the day.  I also got to play with some toys that were new to me and with Ace.  Morgan sent a picture to my mom to show her that I was having a good day and it really made my mom's day better and go by a little faster.  I was such a good girl too - I ate all my food, played, and took a long nap.  I didn't cry when my mom dropped me off either and she said that made it easier for her to leave me there.
